Two years running (or walking)

What began as a 10-person trial in 2017 has grown into a community-driven fundraising event.

Spanning the 96km distance between two towns, the Cargo 2 Grenfell annual fundraiser walk puts participants to the test physically and mentally as they make the three-day trek.

It’s an incredible effort but one that pays dividends for Central West NSW communities, with funds helping to bring essential mental health programs, courses and workshops to the region.

For the second year in a row, Rural & Remote Mental Health has been chosen as a beneficiary of the fundraiser – and what a result! This year’s event, which hit the finish line on Saturday 13 March, attracted more than 50 participants and has already raised over $13,000 in donations.

We’re very grateful to everyone involved and to be selected as a charity of choice. But more than that, we’re incredibly heartened to see a community coming together to take action on mental health awareness and suicide prevention.

Registrations for the 2022 event will open in coming months. In the meantime, you can follow Cargo 2 Grenfell on Facebook, Instagram, or visit the C2G website.
