Specialist knowledge about health or mental health is not necessary. All you need is a commitment to the social and mental well-being of your community and colleagues.
What does Train-the-Presenter consist of?
Rural Minds Train-the-Presenter workshop begins with an introduction to the program and the completion of a well-being and lifestyle survey.
The Rural Minds workshop is delivered by our senior presenters supported by RRMH staff. The presentation features sessions on different aspects of mental health and each session includes a Rural Minds video. Following completion of the presentation all participants are assigned a section of the presentation from the training manual to present.
We provide assistance with planning your workshop, promotional flyer design and support with lodging feedback forms is free. For all other resources including Rural Minds Program Packs, certificates, workbooks, and materials visit our shop.
Who can benefit?
Community leaders, health and education workers with all levels of helping experience.
There is no limit to who can benefit from undertaking training. Participants need not be experts in mental health; the Train-the-Presenter program will provide the confidence and essential knowledge required to deliver the Rural Minds workshop in your community.
What materials are provided?
Participants are provided with a trainer’s manual, workbooks, brochures, passports, promotional gear, access to the Rural Minds videos and online trainer portal for support, PowerPoint presentations on a USB, as well as, Rural Minds Facilitator certificates.
Refreshments and morning tea are also included in the package.
Train-the-Presenter participants can contact program management directly via phone or email and can yarn with other presenters and RRMH staff through the Rural Minds page.
