Specialist knowledge about health or mental health is not necessary. All you need is a commitment to the social and mental well-being of your community and colleagues.

We provide you with the essential information, understanding, materials and the confidence required to deliver the workshop.

You become a Rural Minds Facilitator by attending a scheduled workshop in your area, or by arranging a Train-the-Facilitator workshop for your community or workplace.

We will provide the facilitator to present, support staff, catering and materials– all you need is commitment and an interest in your communities social and emotional well-being!

What does Train-the-Facilitator consist of?

Rural Minds’ Train-the-Facilitator begins with an introduction to the program and the completion of a well-being and lifestyle survey.

The Rural Minds workshop is delivered by our senior facilitators and supported by RRMH staff and viewing of Rural Minds video suite. Following completion of the presentation all participants are assigned a section of the presentation from the training manual to present.

Who can benefit?

Community leaders, health and education workers with all levels of helping experience.

There is no limit to who can benefit from undertaking training. Participants need not be experts in mental health; the Train-the-Facilitator program will provide the confidence and essential knowledge required to deliver the Rural Minds workshop in your community.

If you have an interest in actively supporting your community’s, colleague’s, student’s or client’s social and emotional well-being; this program is for you!

What materials are provided?

Participants are provided with a trainer’s manual, workbooks, brochures, passports, promotional gear, access to the Rural Minds videos and online trainer portal for support, PowerPoint presentations on a USB, as well as, Rural Minds Facilitator certificates.
