Rural Minds is a comprehensive program designed to raise awareness, grow understanding and ensures that the information is embedded into agricultural and farming communities.

Who can benefit?

Rural Minds is a comprehensive program designed for people living and working in rural Australia by people living and working in rural Australia.

Anyone who is connected to the land or living in a rural area – through farming, rural work, a rural business or a ‘tree change’. Teachers, publicans, pharmacists – anyone with an interest in strengthening and giving back to their community!

Bring Rural Minds to your community! We provide a facilitator to present and support staff. All you need is commitment and a passion for improving your community’s social and emotional well-b

Rural Minds workshops are concise, efficient, effective and enlightening, and are convened at times and locations to suit your community.

What does Rural Minds consist of?

The 4 hour Rural Minds workshop combines practical, culturally-relevant information around risk factors, signs and symptoms, prevention tips/techniques and where and how to get assistance.

Including compelling accounts of mental health issues from those involved in the agricultural sector, and a suite of Rural Minds DVDs to accompany the delivery of the workshop; tailored particularly for primary producers, their families and those who work and/or live in rural communities.

What materials are provided?

All participants receive a Rural Minds Program Pack.

This pack comprises: a RRMH logo bag; pens, stickers, Rural Minds social and emotional well-being workbook, Rural Minds mental health passport, and a certificate of participation.

Once community members have completed the workshop, they will have access to our Rural Minds helpline and network to assist with improving the mental health of their communities.

How much does Rural Minds cost?

Rural Minds is priced depending on location and group numbers, and is provided by our trained independent Rural Minds facilitators.

The workshop takes only 4 hours, so it can be delivered at times and locations to suit the the community.
