Business Development Manager

Location:  Adelaide

Organisation: Virtual, national not-for-profit

Work Type: Full-time

Salary: Negotiable market value annual package

We’re looking for someone who is excited by the challenge of significantly growing revenue to support the organisation’s ongoing programs and service delivery. Our ideal candidate is commercially minded, socially aware and can work with a small, passionate team.

In a role that reports to the Chief Executive, you will undertake a range of activities including but not limited to:

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with external partners and stakeholders
  • Responsible for marketing and fundraising
  • Preparing grants, tenders and funding submissions
  • Building the existing effective branding profiles of programs
  • Developing relationships and increasing financial support from a range of external sources
  • Developing and maintaining a CRM database related to all business development activity

This position would be ideally suited to someone who:

  • Is motivated and results driven
  • Is efficient and has a can-do attitude
  • Innovative, resourceful and pays attention to detail
  • Possesses sound judgement
  • Has a convincing and persuasive style
  • Is digitally savvy
  • Is passionate about cause-related and commercial marketing

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • Business development and/or marketing experience
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining positive stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience communicating and influencing at a senior level in a competitive environment
  • Degree qualifications in either corporate affairs or marketing.
  • Sound understanding of social policy, the community and not for profit sector.
